 The city of Kandy is a UNESCO declared world heritage site. Kandy-a major tourist destination-is also known as the last kingdom of Sri Lanka. Nestled in the hills at an altitude of 488 m, it is located at a distance of 115 km from Colombo. Kandy is famous for the Kandy Perahara-a huge cultural pageant that takes place in the month of July or August. It is one of the most colorful pageants of the world. Thousands of drummers and dancers accompanying a parade of caparisoned elephants perform in the streets of Kandy. In addition, you can visit the Royal botanical garden, Gadaladeniya, Embekke, Lankathilake temples, the cultural dance show and many gem and jewellery, batik, silk shops.

Day 2

After breakfast, visit the Udawattakele sanctuary

The lush forest cover behind the temple of the sacred tooth relic in Kandy has a long history dating back to many centuries. It was declared as a forbidden forest by the Sinhala kings who ascended the throne when Kandy became the capital city.

Today, it is an ideal location for trekking, study flora and fauna, visiting several Buddhist monasteries, witnessing a 200-300 year old giant Entada rheedii liana, and the shady lovers' walk, which runs along the banks of the royal pond

Day 3

After breakfast visit the Royal Botanical garden in Peradeniya situated in the central province, the oldest Botanical garden in Sri Lanka. Designed to a shape of a horse shoe, this consists of 147 acres. Home to approximately 4000 flora, it has become the home for much fauna as well. The main attractions are the double coconut palms, Palm collection, orchid house, the great lawn, and the cabbage palm avenue. You can take photos, study or take a slow walk to enjoy the nature.

Transfer to Meemure

 It is a village camp offering you an opportunity to live in the ancient isolated village of Meemure where the local people have maintained their traditional and cultural attitudes towards the forest’s existence.  The village is situated deep in the Knuckles Wilderness; they rely heavily on the forest for their survival and gain as much as 63% of their total income from the forest resources. You can spend your time Hiking, studying Wildlife, and ideal location for traditional Sri Lankan scenic locations to be captured as memories.

Day 5

After breakfast transfer to Nuwara Eliya; on the way visit a tea factory and enjoy a cup of Ceylon Tea.

Nuwara Eliya means "city of Lights”. It is located at an altitude of 1,868 m (6,128 ft) in the central highlands and is considered one of the most important locations for Tea production in Sri Lanka. The town is overlooked by Pidurutalagala, the highest mountain in Sri Lanka complemented by the water falls and the Lush green Tea estates and tea factories. It is an ideal Holiday spot for all travellers

Day 7

After Breakfast transfer to Ella

Ella is blessed with some of the most beautiful views, you could find in Sri Lanka. This is a small town is used as a base for plenty of trekking expeditions to the surrounding countryside. A taste of the breathtaking scenery of Ella could be had, if you just walk into the Garden of the Grand Ella Motel (Formerly Ella Rest House), Another fine view is from the Ambiente Hotel, where the wide doorway, opens out to the mountains, creating a dramatic cinematic like experience, on entry. Some of the places you could see in Ella are the Ella Gap, Ravana Ella Falls, Little Adam's Peak and Bambaragala Peak among the other many varied pleasant walks with stunning scenery.

Day 8

After Breakfast transfer to Rathnapura

It is known as the city of gems. These precious stones are the reason for Sri Lanka to be popular since the time of King Solomon. Rathnapura, possess the best blue sapphires in the world in addition, the garnet, ruby, Topaz.  There are many gem shops. Gem mining is widely practiced in this area. Let’s visit a gem mine, a factory, gem museum and gem shop.  In addition, Rathnapura belongs to the wet zone. Therefore, it has an ever green wet environment all throughout the year.

Day 9

After breakfast transfer to Mt. Lavinia, Colombo

 The name "Colombo", first introduced by the Portuguese in 1505, is believed to be derived from the classical Sinhalese name Kolon thota, meaning "port on the river Kelani".Today, Colombo is the commercial capital of Sri lanka. Home to all trades, the old parliament, purposely built hotels, religious sites, schools, and universities. The Administrative capital is at Sri Jayewardenepura Kotte, it is a few miles away from Colombo. Many gem shops, tea and spice shops, Handicrafts, Branded clothes and many recreational paths made for the health conscious souls is an interesting phase in Colombo.
