Kanneliya is a biosphere reserve in the Galle District whose lowland rainforest provides a complementary ecological experience to highland Sinharaja – the same fundamental richness of endemic species but in a different habitat type, at a lower altitude, and with a trail network less formalised than Sinharaja’s visitor pathways.
